Charles Blair Mohney, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was 91 years old.

Born in 1934, in Decatur Michigan to Russell E and Olive Mohney Sr., Charles—known to all who loved him as Blair—lived a full life guided by principle, and a deep devotion to those around him. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Blair served his country with honor and quiet dignity, embodying the strength and steadiness that would define his life.

After his service, Blair pursued a career in law, quickly earning a reputation as a sharp, detail oriented, and highly respected attorney. His dedication to his clients was unwavering, but it was his integrity and humility that left a lasting impression on colleagues and friends alike.

Blair's laugh—distinct and wholly contagious—could fill a room and turn strangers into friends. He approached life with warmth and kindness and had a deep and quiet faith in the Lord. His was a presence that made people feel seen, heard, and valued.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ginger Jane Mohney. Together, they built a life grounded in love, laughter, and a shared sense of adventure. Blair also leaves behind children, Timothy and Fran Mohney, and Patrick and Elizabeth Mohney; grandchildren, Olivia, Nicole, Ava, and Easton; 7 siblings and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was pre-deceased by his parents Russell Earl and Olive Mohney Sr., and brothers Russell Earl Mohney Jr, and Loren Dean Mohney.

A private family graveside service will be held on Monday, June 23 2025. He will be buried at Cascade Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Blair's memory to The Mary Free Bed Foundation.
