Charles Douglass (Doug) Gardner, age 91, went to be with his Lord February 19, 2022. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Joan (Baker) Gardner; his parents Charles and Joanne Gardner; and his sister Sharon Gardner. He will be remembered with great love by everyone who's life he touched - especially his children, Carlene "CC" (Gardner) Berg, Scott Gardner, and Brian Gardner; his sister Gloria (Gardner) Eisenga; and his 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Doug was a graduate of Calvin College and the University of Michigan graduate school in Education. He was a member of Shawnee Park Church for over 50 years and attended Keystone Community Church for the past 6 years (where he very much enjoyed the preaching). His spiritual quest in his later years has been to study the bible to learn how to love like Jesus. In his relationships with those around him and all other aspects of his life, Doug embraced change and adventure. This gift was the key to his many successes as a husband, a father, and a businessman. A small memorial service for immediate family will be held.
