While she will be dearly missed by many, Carolyn June Weeda entered the wedding feast of the Lamb on June 20, 2023. Carolyn was born to Ben and Lena Dykhouse on September 13, 1932, and was the 4th of 5 children. She completed Butterworth nursing school and was licensed as an LPN, she married Thomas Weeda and together they raised 4 children. With a servant's heart, Carolyn lived in France as an Army wife and followed her husband's career to several locations including Rockford (MI), Liverpool (UK) , Zuni (NM), Rehoboth (NM), and Grand Rapids, MI. She readily adapted to these new locations through meaningful work both in her career as a nurse and as a volunteer. She will also be remembered for her love of cooking, enjoyment of good food and love for her children and grandchildren.

Carolyn is survived by her sister (Jean Verstraete Bosma), 4 children Tom (Ann) Weeda, Richard (Peggy) Weeda, Mary (Jim) Smania and Steve (Janet) Weeda, 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 28 from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Thursday, June 29 from 9 AM to 10 AM. The funeral will follow the Thursday visitation at Zaagman Memorial Chapel. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Zuni Christian Mission and Rehoboth Christian school.
