Obituary

Our Savior Jesus Christ has destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light through the Gospel. Let us remember with thanksgiving what God has done through His servant Bryan.

Bryan Beuschel was given life by his Creator and was born on 22 February A+D 1962 in Grand Rapids, MI, the son of Walter and Noreen Ann (Preston) Beuschel. He was baptized in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost on 18 March A+D 1962 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Conklin, MI. He was given the gift of two older brothers, Timothy and David, and one younger sister, Janeen Chase. On 16 May A+D 1976 he confessed his baptismal faith at Trinity Lutheran Church, Conklin, MI in the Rite of Confirmation and was admitted to the altar to receive the medicine of immortality, Christ's life-giving body and blood.

On 2 September A+D 1989 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Sebewaing, MI he received the gift of a beloved companion in his wife Julie Ann Wenzel. The Lord blessed their marriage with three sons: Mark of Middleville, Grant (Amanda) of Richland MI, and Nathan of Zeeland MI (fiancée Marcelle of Casper WY); and three grandchildren, Bryce, Lydia, and Clara.

Bryan served the Lord in his vocations as student, at Trinity Lutheran School, Conklin, Sparta High School, and Michigan State (B.S. in horticulture 1984, M.S. in Food Science 1990); as food scientist at Oscar Mayer (1990-1996) and Kellogg's (1996-2023); as trustee and choir member at Our Savior Church; as beekeeper, gardener, hunter, fisher; neighbor; and friend.

The Beuschel family lived in Madison WI (1990-1996), Battle Creek MI (1996-2001), Middleville MI (2002-). In 2002 they joined Our Savior Church. He last received the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar on 12 July A+D 2026 at Our Savior Church. Finally, on Friday, 17 July A+D 2026, after suffering a catastrophic failure of his aorta, God blessed him with a holy death at Trinity Health, St. Mary's and took him home to rest in the arms of Jesus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws, Kenneth and Dorothy Wenzel. He is survived by his beloved wife, his sons, his grandchildren, his siblings: Timothy (Patrice) of Mount Pleasant, WI, David (Deanne) of Conklin MI, and Janeen (David) Chase of Conklin MI; Sisters-in-law Jan Wenzel of Akron MI and Carol (Jim) Koch of Gagetown, MI; and many dear family members and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 23 from 2-4 and 6-8 at Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids MI and one hour before his funeral at church.
