Betty Lou Wiersma, age 92, of Grand Rapids, went peacefully to be with her Lord on December 27, 2023, and was reunited with Bob, her beloved husband of 62 years. She was preceded in death by her grandson, William Jae Wiersma and her great-grandson, Maxwell James Wiersma, her sister, Evelyn Gritter and her brother, Michael Woudenberg. She is survived by her children: Jim (Gail) Wiersma, Ruth (Wayne) Singer, Tom (Laura) Wiersma, Betsy (Jerry) Van Dam, Dan (Nancy) Wiersma, Tim (Libby) Wiersma, her twenty grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren and her sister, Ruth De Winter. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 3 at 12:00 pm at Zaagman Memorial Chapel with visitation preceding the service, beginning at 11:00 am. A light lunch will follow the service at 1:00 pm. The family wishes to thank Faith Hospice for their compassionate care for our mother in her final days.
