Baylor Ambrose
Marco
May 20, 2019 — Mar 25, 2025
With the heaviest hearts and deepest grief, we are heartbroken to announce the passing of our sweet Baylor Ambrose.
Baylor was a beloved son and brother, cherished grandson and nephew, and a friend to all.
From the moment he was born, Baylor filled our home and our hearts with immeasurable love and laughter. In his short time on earth, he brought more joy to our family than many experience in a lifetime.
Baylor's quick wit, contagious laughter, and playful humor echoed through our home, creating a melody of happiness we will carry with us forever. Whether it was a perfectly timed one-liner, a silly joke, or a mischievous antic, his laughter became the soundtrack of our daily lives.
Loving, funny, kind, joy-filled, spirited, fearless, and sports-obsessed, Baylor lived each day to the fullest. His boundless energy and radiant light leave a void that can never be filled, especially for his parents and siblings, who will never stop missing him.
Baylor's fun-loving spirit touched everyone he met. His infectious personality and adorable freckled cheeks could brighten even the cloudiest day. He idolized his big brother, Miller, and was the best sidekick any brother could ever dream of.
Baylor leaves behind a legacy of joy, love, and kindness that will forever be cherished by his parents, Zack and Megan Marco, sister, Jude Marco, brother, Miller Marco, grandparents Tim and Eileen Miller and Paul and Irene Marco, great grandma Theresa Miller, aunts Jessica Miller and Rebekah (Andrew) Hora, uncles Adam (Maddy) Miller, Tim Marco, and Jake (Alexandra) Marco, cousin Lainey Hora, many great aunts, uncles, cousins and cherished friends, and his beloved canine companion, Louie.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, along with staff at Helen Devos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, for their exceptional care, compassion and kindness. They would also like to thank their beloved community at St. Paul the Apostle, where Baylor attended school and church. Your overwhelming love, prayers, and support have been a source of strength and comfort, and they will never be forgotten.
Thanks to the Gift of Life program, Baylor was able to donate his organs. This not only saved the lives of countless children but also left a legacy of hope and compassion. It is beautiful to know that he continues to touch so many lives, offering a lasting impact on those who were fortunate enough to receive his gift. His Christ-like gift serves as a reminder of the power of generosity and the profound difference one little five-year-old boy can make.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, April 2, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church from 4 to 8 PM with a rosary service to be held at 7:30 PM.
A funeral mass at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church will take place on Thursday, April 3 at 11 AM, with two hours of visitation prior beginning at 9 AM.
Though Baylor is no longer physically with us, we know his spirit lives on. May it shine through every act of kindness, every shared joke, every burst of laughter, and in every day lived fully and joyfully — just like Baylor lived.
