Barbara Ann (Bartholomew) Yonker, known fondly to friends and family as Barb, passed away on August 6, 2025, at the age of 79. Her final days were spent surrounded by the warmth of loved ones in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Barb was the cherished wife of the late Charles "Chuck" Yonker, and mother to her son, Christopher (daughter-in-law, Jolie). Barb delighted in her role as a grandmother to Grayson, whose sparkle brought her endless joy.

Born on January 5, 1946 in the town of Manistee, Michigan to Bee Marie and Howard Bartholomew, who preceded her in death, Barb was also a sister to her siblings, Bill (Debora) Bartholomew, Kathy (Tom) Alvesteffer, Jane (Rick) Kritzman and the late Jim (Mary Lou) Bartholomew. Her many nieces and nephews held a special place in her heart.

After graduating from Whitehall High School, Barb went to junior college and eventually entered the workforce as a support staff member in various medical and dental offices.

Over the years, Barb enjoyed traveling to places like Cozumel, Mexico, Arizona, Hawaii, Florida, and Onekama, Michigan. She could sometimes be found riding on the back of a tandem bike with Chuck or catching some sun. More recently, she enjoyed simple pleasures, such as listening to live music, playing cards, calling out "Bingo!" and attending fitness and yoga classes at Sentinel Pointe--the place she called home. These activities were more than hobbies; they were avenues through which she forged friendships.

She faced life's challenges with bravery and quiet strength to the last. Her memory will be treasured in the hearts of her family and friends forever. She will be deeply missed.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, August 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour before at St James Catholic Church, Montague MI. Luncheon will follow Mass.
