Barbara Flint Liefbroer, age 93, was peacefully called home to be with her Heavenly Father on Tuesday, February 10. Barb lived her entire life in the Grand Rapids area. Her faith guided her life. She was a graduate of Grand Rapids Junior College. Barb was a talented homemaker and was passionate about music, sewing, and making personalized Birthday and Greeting cards. She also worked in a local Accounting Office, once her daughters were raised.

Barb was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Donald, and daughter, Sally Lake. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law; Linda & Jerry Hicks, Brenda Key, Candy & Tom VanDusen and Andy Lake. She is also survived by grandchildren, Karla (Cory) Bigger, Michael (Leslie) Key, Shannon Lake, and step-grandchildren, Jerry (Carrie) Hicks, Steve VanDusen, Karen (Justin) McDowell, and Scott (Kristen) VanDusen. She has three great-grandkids, and six step-great-grandkids.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Holland Home for providing wonderful, compassionate care to Barb over the last couple of years.

A memorial service will take place at 2PM on Monday, February 16 at Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids. Visitation will be ahead of the service beginning at 1PM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Forest Hills Presbyterian Church or the Holland Home Resident Fund.
