On Tuesday, May 12 at 3:45PM, Audrey Ruth VanVliet (Lotterman), 91, was welcomed into the loving arms of her heavenly father with a choir of angels singing.

Her life was filled with laughter and was full in years.

Audrey was proceeded in death by her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Peter VanVliet (2018) and her dear son, Joseph VanVliet (2022).

She will be lovingly remembered by her surviving children, Mark (Faith) VanVliet, Peter (Debra) VanVliet, Ben (Julia) VanVliet, and her Daughter-in-law Julie VanVliet as well as her eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

Audrey was passionate about many things, but her faith and her family were always the most important. She enjoyed biking, gardening, travel, and music. She always admired God's creations and preferred to be outdoors every chance she could get.

Audrey's sweet and generous spirit will be dearly missed by many.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on May 23, 2026 at Breton Extended Care South, 2565 44th St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49512. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services. Private interment will take place following the service.
