Adrianne "Audrey" Beth Meindertsma, aged 87, went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ April 17, 2024. She attended Calvin College and graduated from Blodgett Hospital School of Nursing. She was a certified Oncology Nurse and worked for many years caring for cancer patients at Blodgett Memorial Medical Center. She was loved by her patients, respected by her peers, and nominated for the Mary Bennett Jack Award for Nursing Excellence.

She was a small group leader in Bible Study Fellowship.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband Larry, parents Rev. Dirk and Helen Mellema, and in-laws John and Catherine Meindertsma and Ted Berkompas. Survived by her children Teri and B.J. Holwerda, Mike and Julie Meindertsma and Daniel and Melissa Meindertsma, sisters Janice Berkompas, Dorie and Jack Kremers and Carol and Bob Wall. She also leaves nine grandchildren: Andrea and Kyle Hoogewind, Olivia and Jeremiah DeWeerd, Micah Meindertsma, Aubrey Meindertsma and Bobby Carpenter, Gabriel Meindertsma, Sam Meindertsma, Emma Meindertsma and Sean Young, Trevor and Jenna Meindertsma, Camelia Meindertsma and Enrique Marshall. She leaves 5 great grandchildren: Sophie, Liam and Ella Hoogewind and Lottie and Lars DeWeerd.

Please join Audrey's family for visitation at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546) at 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 25. A memorial service and celebration of her life will begin at 4:00 pm with Rev. Timothy Blackmon officiating.
