Asim Abdul Majeed, 71, died in dignity January 23, 2022, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was born November 15, 1950, at Hackley Hospital of Muskegon, MI. Named Lunsford Garvey Ingram II the son of Lunsford and Mattie Ingram. Asim graduated from Muskegon High School, class of 1970. While in school playing basketball, his team was the 1966 and 1967 Lake Michigan Athletic Conference Champions. Following graduation, he gained employment with Grand Rapids Area Transportation Authority G.R.AT.A., as a City Bus Driver. He retired after 40 years of service. In 1973, he became a devote Muslim and accepted the faith of Islam. He was an advocate of his faith and enjoyed sharing it. In addition to sharing his faith, he loved spending time with family near and far, staying fit and eating healthy, playing sports with bowling being his favorite pastime, and helping those he could. In addition to his parents, he was proceeded by his sister Electa Mahdi, brothers, Mikal Majeed and Kevin Ingram. His story continues with his daughter, TaLonda Robinson, Muskegon, MI. Sons, Asim Majeed II, Grand Rapids, MI. Hasan Majeed, Grand Rapids, MI, and Malik Majeed, Grand Rapids, MI. Grandchildren, Malachi Majeed, Samiyah Majeed and Nalayah Majeed of Grand Rapids. Brothers, Donald (JoAnn) Ingram, Grand Rapids, MI. Albert (Katrina) Ingram, Stone Mountain, GA. Sister, Meliá Shabazz, Cincinnati, OH.
