Ashley Ann Geelhoed, age 29, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep at her home on Saturday, January 18, 2025. Ashley was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend, known for her free spirit, compassion, kindness, and inclusivity.

She leaves behind her parents, Ron and Kim Geelhoed; her sister, Emily (Steve) Eikenhout; her brother, Matthew Geelhoed; her cherished nieces, Genevieve and Hazel Eikenhout; and her grandfather, Harold Geelhoed. Ashley will also be deeply missed by her many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred Jr. and Fran Guild, Dena Geelhoed; and her uncle, Fred Guild III.

Friends and relatives are invited to greet the family on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from 10-11 am at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE, 49546). A Funeral Service to honor Ashley's life will follow at 11:00 am, officiated by Rev. Nicole Davis and Rev. Paul DeVries. Ashely was a collector by nature; if you are attending in person, feel free to bring a small trinket or collectible to place in her casket as a remembrance.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to any local homeless shelter or animal rescue organization of your choice, in Ashley's memory.

Ashley was a gatherer of people, spreading love and warmth wherever she went. Her compassionate and caring nature touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered with great affection by all who knew her.
