Arvin Harold Leisman, 87, of Grand Rapids and Vero Beach, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025. He was the son of Arthur and Henrietta Leisman, and attended Baxter Christian School, Grand Rapids Christian High School, and Calvin College. Arv owned AES Equipment Specialists. He served on school boards, church councils and committees, and community organizations. Arv married Marilyn Leisman (Terpstra) in 1959. They were charter members of Fellowship CRC in Grandville in the 1970's. Arv and Marilyn made and kept lifelong friends. Their home was a place of hospitality, support, open discussion and laughter. It was a happy place to be.

Arv traveled the world. He enjoyed listening to hymns, and he delighted in caring for his family. He loved boats, cars, motors and fixing almost anything. But he was first and foremost a sincere Christian whose faith pervaded every aspect of his life. Whatever his role, you knew that any decision Arv made was based on his trust in Jesus.

Arv was preceded in death by the love of his life, Marilyn. He is survived by his children Amy (Corky) Kossen, Ross (Sheri) Leisman, Jill Mason, and Gregg (Kathy) Leisman; along with grandchildren Carissa (Jason), AmaraLyn (Drew), Luke (Katelyn), Hannah (Joshua), Dorthea (Lucas), Hans (Maggie), Natalie, Joshua, Jenea, Caleb, and great-grandchildren Aria and Eli. He is also survived by his sisters Lois Posthuma and Barbara Potter Boogaard.

A visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, from 5-8 pm at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton Street S.E.) as well as one hour prior to the funeral service, which will be on Saturday, October 4 at Plymouth Heights CRC at 11:00 am.
