Arnold Eugene Black, age 84, walked with renewed strength into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Arnold enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a kind, loving, and an all around compassionate man. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 19 years Mary Ann (Deboer) Black; his children, Jeff (Stephanie) Black, Cathy (Craig) Wright, Kelly (Michael, deceased) Black, Cindy (Casey) Zuidema, Brent (Kathy) Black; his 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren; and his sister, Vada. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Black. Arrangements will begin with the committal service on Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 10:00am at Blain Cemetery (1215 68th St SE). Following the committal service will be a visitation from 12:00PM to 12:30PM with a memorial service at 12:30PM at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St SE) with a luncheon to follow. If one wishes, a memorial contribution may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice and Palliative Care (750 Fuller Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503).
