Antoinette "Ann" Frances Amodeo, age 92 of Grand Rapids, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, February 10, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank; brothers Paul and Anthony D'Amico; and by daughter Nina Veneklase. Antoinette grew up working in her family grocery store. After marrying Frank, she was a full-time mother and homemaker. She worked at Marianne's Clothing for 17 years and 18 years at Steelcase. She especially enjoyed helping out at her son and daughter-in-law's restaurant, Real Food Cafe. She was a long-time member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic church where she served as Eucharistic minister and Lector. Antoinette loved being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling, especially visiting family in Sicily. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Emmanuel Hospice for their exceptional care and her personal home caregivers, especially Wilnese "Wilma" Isnady VanDyke, for their loving care. A Memorial Mass celebrating Ann's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 6, at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 101 Hall St. SE, with Rev. Theodore Kozlowski and Monsig. Gus Ancona as concelebrants. Memorial contributions in Ann's memory may be made to Emmanuel Hospice, or to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Michigan.
