Anne Valentine, age 98, of Caledonia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, October 19, 2022. She is now reunited with her husband of 35 years, Bernie Valentine; sisters, Rose (Joe) Jeluso, Josephine (Carmen) Bancino; brothers, John (Pauline) Geluso, Sam (Monica) Geluso; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Dortha (Claude) Langridge, Vivian (George) Layle, William (Mildred) Valentine; nephew, Andrew (Sharon) Bancino; and niece, Josephine VanHam. Anne leaves behind and will be deeply missed by her brother and sister-in-law Frank (Frances) Geluso; many nieces, nephews, cousins, loving friends and very dear neighbors. Anne was an executive secretary for the furniture and design industry in the Exhibitor's Building in downtown Grand Rapids. She was a devout Catholic and she was very involved at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church and most recently at St. Paul the Apostle Parish as a Eucharistic minister, funeral sacristan, and reader. Anne also enjoyed volunteer work at several local organizations. She loved to shop, she loved to travel, she loved the arts, and she loved to dance - but most of all, she loved her faith, family, and friends, and all that God has blessed her with. She lived her life to the fullest. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 22, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish (2750 Burton St. SE) with Rev. Peter O. Damian as celebrant. Visitation will be held at Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St. SE) on Friday, October 21 from 4-7 pm as well as one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.
