Our beautiful mom left her earthly body today, April 20, Easter Sunday, to continue everlasting life with Jesus! She was 96.

She will be terribly missed by us, her children: Pat and Dale Ellens, Sue and Mike Bykerk, Sally Holwerda, Amy and Tom VanTongeren, Lisa and Mike Harju, Jack and Brenda Holwerda, grandchildren and great grandchildren. And by her siblings: Cal Lenderink, Warren and Ilene Lenderink, Kenny and Sue Lenderink.

She joins our dad, Jack; her parents, Susan and Andrew; her sister, Gelene; and brother, Arnie.

Our mom loved her family and cared deeply for her fellow humankind, particularly those suffering and struggling.

She was a woman of faith. She marveled at God's creation. She desired to follow the example of Jesus. She desired the presence and the peace of The Holy Spirit. Our mother believed there is no limit to God's grace and love; that they are beyond what we can possibly imagine.

Our family thanks the Holland Home and Faith Hospice for the care and compassion you've shown our mom. Over the years, and up until her final days, our mom formed beautiful relationships with many of you. From the office, staff, admissions, maintenance workers, nurses, Atrio, housekeeping, café and salon staff, aides that so gently bathed her… Thank you!
