FRIDSMA – Anna Mae (Joey), age 90, of Grand Rapids, MI, passed away in her sleep on June 1, 2023.

Joey was born June 14, 1932, to Meindert and Anna (Van Dyk) Fridsma in Midland Park, NJ. She was trained as a nurse and spent a few years in CA and then many years in Celeryville, OH. Her last 24 years were lived in Grand Rapids, MI.

She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Effie Vanderbilt, Hilda Cok, Jacob Fridsma, Matilda (Terry) Fridsma, William Fridsma and Jacoba (Coby) Cok; and in-laws John Vanderbilt, Engel Cok, Ruth Fridsma, Audrey Fridsma and Ralph Cok. Joey was the last survivor of her generation. She had many living nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Cremation has taken place. In accordance with her wishes, there will not be a memorial service.
