Anna Boermans nee Duyker passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 14, 2024 at age 94. Born in Amsterdam in 1930 she married Merk Minnesma in 1954 before immigrating to Edmonton, Canada. Together they had three sons in Calgary: Peter, Glenn, and Paul. After 12 beautiful years of marriage Merk passed away in 1966.

Raising three young children was a challenge and a blessing. In a supportive community of friends and church, life was indeed blessed by God. In 1975, Ann married Pierson Boermans from Pittsburgh where they lived for 10 years before retiring to Grand Rapids. After 33 wonderful years, Perry passed away in 2008. Ann was a member of Calvin CRC, a hospital visitor, and volunteer.

Ann is survived by her boys, their wives, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

One grandson described Oma as follows: loving, kind, strong, hospitable, fun, always smiling and laughing, always positive, traveler, family woman, faithful to God her husband and family, walker and always active. We all agree.

Mom lived life to the fullest and loved her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. She will be missed.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 10, at 3 PM in the Raybrook Manor chapel. One hour of visitation to be held prior, beginning at 2 PM. Private interment at Garfield Park Cemetery.
