Obituary

Ann Lea (Smith) Losse is no longer here with us.  She departed July 6, 2022 to rejoin the love of her life, Artur.

Ann was a gentle and kind person, generous to a fault.  She loved to entertain and cook for her friends.  She took great joy in sending cards and little gifts to brighten friends' days. She proudly supported many causes during her lifetime -none more valued than our troops. They were near and dear to her- blessed by her kindness for years and years. She loved being a Grannie to her 3 adored grandchildren (Alyssa, Brock, and Olivia). She took them to plays and art galleries, tiny little restaurants and stores. She wanted to expose them to new things. She also loved to make things magical (treasure hunts with actual buried treasures). Love and kindness were things she valued above all else. Ann had a great passion for life. She had incredible talents - cooking, design, gardening, card making, and throwing awesome parties. She was very proud of her stores Prisms, Passion for Paper, etc…, Prisms ll, and Savage. When that chapter ended, she and Art started another adventure up north at their farm growing chestnuts. She loved their Belgium horses and their Jacob sheep. Ann even drove a huge horse trailer through downtown Chicago to deliver the chestnuts .Her talents were many, but her best ones were being a mom, a wife, a loving Grannie  and a wonderful friend .

Our hearts are broken, but she is now free - blowing in the breeze with her beloved Art and her son, Marcus.  A Celebration of Life for Ann will be held Sunday July 10, 2022 at Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Ann Loved flowers, but she also had a deep passion for helping the people of Ukraine. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to help the Ukranians.
