Alonzo "Terry" C. Meyers was born on October 26, 1943, in Grand Rapids, MI; he departed this life on February 26, 2022, at Metro Health Hospital following a very brief illness; he is preceded in death by parents Charles H. Meyers III and Jane L. Meyers; his brothers Charles "Todd" D. Meyers, Walter Kim Meyers and Errol M. Meyers and one infant daughter, Roberta E. Meyers, and one niece Amyee M. Meyers.

Alonzo "Terry" leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 57 years, Doris J., three children, Arlene Dawn Meyers, Timothy H. (Karen) Meyers, and Robin M. Green; Seven grandchildren, Allyse (Rodney) Holloman, Eliza (Corey) Krings, Airman First Class Jerome V. Dixon II, Kennedy T. Dixon, Starlyss A. Finley, Terrone O. Finley Jr, Ashante' R. Finley, three great-grand daughters, Amirah D. Holloman, Alani M. Holloman, Amerie R. Holloman, one Aunt, Shirley Jeter, three sisters-in-law, Edna Meyers, Ruth Cross and Betty Green, and host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also remembered by two special lifelong friends, Ralph Boulware and Jeff Dodson. Above all things, Terry loved his family; they always came first. Except when it came to his beloved Spartans and Lions.

Today's service is being officiated by Father Ted Kozlowski who also married Terry and Doris on December 26, 1964.
