Albert Visbeen, 92, of Grand Rapids, MI, formerly of Wyckoff, NJ, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 9, 2023. He was born in Glen Rock, NJ, to Adrian and Trina Visbeen. He met and married his beloved wife, Janet, and together they raised their five children in Wyckoff, NJ. Before his retirement, Al was the president of Visbeen Construction Company in Ridgewood, NJ. He was a member of Cascade Fellowship Church and had previously been a member of Cedar Hill Christian Reformed Church in Wyckoff, NJ. Al served his country in the US Army Reserves and was a Corporal in the 324th Signal Battalion. Albert was predeceased by his wife of 69 years, Janet Jacoba (nee Borduin). Beloved father to Cheryl La Fleur and her husband, Robert; Glenn Visbeen and his wife, Yvonne; David Visbeen and his wife, Cynthia; Wayne Visbeen; Marcia Olthoff; Lisa Lehmann; and Jon Lehmann. Loving grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Albert is also survived by his sister, Lenora Malefyt; his brother, Adrian Martin Visbeen, Jr, and his wife, Ruth; and his sister-in-law, Marion Borduin. Al will be dearly missed by his family and friends, but all rejoice in the knowledge that he was confident of his salvation and longed for eternity with his faithful Savior, Jesus Christ. Friends and family may visit the Visbeen family on Tuesday, March 21, at Raybrook Manor Chapel, 2121 Raybrook, SE, Grand Rapids, MI, 49546, from 10 to 11 AM. Funeral service will follow immediately thereafter, with a private interment.
