Alan John Exoo, age 76, of Grand Rapids, went to be with his Lord on October 29, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents Rev. Henry and Bessie Exoo and by his brother and sister-in-law Calvin and Diane Exoo. He is survived by his son Ethan Exoo; brother Henry (Connie) Exoo; and sisters Patti Swets (Hap Frizzell), Gay (Paul) Bouwmeester, Margaret Dokter.

Al was a Special Education teacher in a local school system. He was also very musical. He was involved with the Grand Rapids Folk Art Society and was a member of Beats Sittin' Home Folk band.

In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
