Eleanor Monson, age 96, of Grand Rapids, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, September 7, 2026. She was born January 20, 1930, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Arthur and Elizabeth (Kundinger) Robson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband of 71 years, Walter M. Monson.

Eleanor leaves behind her sons and daughter-in-law, Brian Monson (Temecula, CA), Wayne Monson, and Dean and Nancy Monson; grandchildren, Michael Monson, Scott and Michelle Monson, Justin and Danielle Monson, Eric Monson (San Diego, CA), and Katie and Jacob Gorton; 8 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Pam Monson (Sarasota, FL); nephew, Jeff Monson (Ocala, FL); and great-niece and great-nephew, Courtney and Tyler Monson.

Eleanor enjoyed gardening, golfing, and camping at various state parks, with Pentwater and Charlevoix being two favorite destinations. She also loved traveling with friends, including memorable trips to Hawaii and Aruba, and enjoyed spending her winters in Florida. Above all, Eleanor treasured time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
