Obituaries

CODY – Barbara “Jane” Cody, age 88, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010.  Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Cody; son, Michael Cody; and by her son-in-law, Michael Peterlein. Jane is survived by her daughters, Lindi Cody-Solomon and Michael Solomon (step-grandson Jordan), Sally and Fred Zokoe (grandchildren, Ben Isbell, Julie Isbell and Allie Peterlein); daughter-in-law, Mary Cody (grandchildren, Sarah Cody and Rachel Cody; sister, Carolyn and Edward Daley. Jane was a founding member of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, she also served on Porter Hill’s Women’s Association where she enjoyed donating her time. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 1:00 pm at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church with Rev. Richard D. Raum officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel Tuesday 6-9 pm and one hour prior to the service at church on Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Forest Hills Presbyterian Church or to Porter Hill’s Women’s Association
