Mr. Harvey E. Ward, Jr., age 62, of Middleville, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2010 with his family by his side.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey Sr. and Julia Ward; sisters, Frances Kovacs and Lila Stevens. Harv is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Gloria; his children, Julie and Ryan Kruisenga (Tea, Calvin, Samantha) Kim and Chad Bourdo (Kaylee, McKenna), Ryan and Andrea Ward (Hunter, Jaxon, Kennedy, Landon); siblings, Virginia Brooks, Frankie (Donna) Crouse, Jimmy (Gladys) Crouse. Harvey was awarded a Purple Heart and Bronze Star while serving in Vietnam in 1968 – 1969. Harv was very patriotic and worked in the lumber industry for 31 years. He was a loving husband, father, and papa; he will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. The family would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers involved in Harv’s care. Funeral services will be held Friday 1:30 pm at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dennis Moles officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives at the funeral chapel Thursday 6-9 pm. Interment will be at Graceland Memorial Park.
