Name: Doris Eileen Cornell Dates: Birth date: December 23, 1918 Death date: December 23, 2009 Obituary: CORNELL – Doris Eileen Cornell (December 23, 1918 – December 23, 2009). On December 23, Doris peacefully departed this world to celebrate her 91st birthday with her Lord in Heaven. Her family members who had gathered together from around the country to celebrate Christmas, gratefully used her unforeseen passing to honor and reflect upon her life during a private family funeral service on Christmas Eve. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward J. Cornell. She is survived by her children, Judith and Richard Bereza, David (Chip) and Jeanne Cornell, Roger and Dawn Cornell, Bruce and Brenda Cornell and Mark Cornell. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Also surviving is her dear sister-in-law, Marie Minderhout. Friends may meet the family at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel on Saturday, December 26, from 10 am until noon, with a committal service immediately following. Memorial contributions may be given to a charity of one's choice. |
