Name: B. William Pastoor Dates: Birth date: April 22, 1935 Death date: December 23, 2009 Obituary: Pastoor – B. William Pastoor, passed away December 23, 2009 at Faith Hospice Trillium Woods. His victory is in Jesus after a long struggle with cancer. Bill is survived by his wife Evelyn; two wonderful step-children and their spouses, Stephanie and Pieter Disselkoen, James and Victoria Steenbergen, and his grandchildren, the joy of his life Annelise and Kai Disselkoen, one sister Ilene Magee and a special aunt Janet Yonker. Predeceased by his parents, William B. and Joan Pastoor and his brother-in-law, John Magee. Surviving also are brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Marlene Van Proyen, Carol Olthof, Fred and Evelyn Olthof, Shirley Olthof, Wallace and Marianne Bratt, and many special friends. Survived also by many cousins, nephews, and nieces. Bill graduated from the University of Michigan, College of Engineering and then followed in the tradition of family business, Pastoor Bros. Wholesale Meats. Unique to his firm, they developed the sizzler, a popular steak in this part of the state. After retirement, an avocation of truck driving, which he thoroughly enjoyed, kept him on the road, driving over 2 million miles accident free and having made over 2000 round trips to Chicago. Of special interest to Bill was mission work especially mission work in foreign fields. Those who wish to memorialize Bill may make contributions to Mission India or Rehoboth Christian Schools. Services by his pastor, Rev. Michael Abma from Woodlawn C.R.C. will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel. Relatives and friends may greet the family Saturday and Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral chapel. The family wishes to give a special thank you to Dr. T. O’Rourke and Dr. G.
