Obituaries

De Jong – Mrs. Cora “Jacoba” De Jong, aged 85, passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus Tuesday, December 22, 2009.  She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Sidney “Sicco” De Jong; her children, Gerben (Janice) De Jong, Carole (John) Ornee, William (Karen) De Jong, Edward (Tamara) De Jong, Diane (James) Visser, Richard De Jong, and Yvonne (Steven) Dykstra; 23 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and four siblings and many other relatives in the Netherlands.  She was a longtime member of Beckwith Hills Christian Reformed Church.  Memorial services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Beckwith Hills CRC, with Rev. John Ornee, Rev. Rick Pinckney, and Rev. Karen De Jong officiating.  Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel.  Private interment Graceland Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Grand Rapids Christian Schools.
