Obituaries

Joyce Avonne (Peuler) Herrema, aged 69, went home to sing with her Lord and Savior on December 18, 2009.  Joyce was born in Grant, MI, to Nell and Jacob Peuler.  She attended Calvin College, graduated with a degree in elementary education, and met the love of her life, Robert Dale Herrema.  Married on August 10, 1962, they shared a love of God and family.  Her favorite Bible verse was Psalm 118:24 “This is the day the Lord has made: let us rejoice and be glad in it.”  Joyce also enjoyed reading, golfing, traveling, and gardening.  Joyce is loved and sorely missed by her husband Robert, son, Rob (Amy), daughter, Christi (Todd) Petersen,  and son, Kevin (Jeannie); her 14 grandchildren, Megan, Mitch, Matthew, Jeffery, Abby, Ella, Olivia, Luke, Haley, Kyle, Maggie, Andrew, Sophie, and Teddy; brothers, Gord (Lois) Peuler  and Jack (Lyne) Peuler; and sister, Marianne (Dave) Tubergen. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 a.m. at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel with Rev.
