Mrs. Betty Lou Koster, age 81, of Shelbyville (formerly of Grand Rapids), went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew; her grandson, Michael Koster; and by her brother, Ray Jansen. Betty is survived by her children, Doug and Debbie Koster, Ruth and Dan Fredricks, Pat and Jim Bass, Ken and Kim Koster, Steve and Marianne Koster, Beth and Mike DeBoer; 28 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; brother, Albert and Linda Jansen; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Helen VanDellen, Eleanor and Rev. James Kok, Marguerite Koster, Jerry and Esther Koster; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday 1:00 p.m. at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel with Chaplain Phil Koster officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives at the funeral chapel on Thursday, 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the service on Friday. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
