Obituaries

Elaine Donna Weemhoff (nee Schultze), age 87, child of God, went to be with her heavenly Father Tuesday morning, July 17, 2012. She was a kindergarten and 2nd grade teacher for many years in the Kentwood School System and loved children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neal. She is lovingly remembered and will be greatly missed by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren whom she prayed for daily by name. She is survived by her four children and her thirteen grandchildren: David and Linda Weemhoff (Tami, Ryan, Shawn); Susan and Nelson Kloosterman (Kim, Nate, Nick, Kate, Hannah); Cindra and Hank Marshall (Terra, Rainee, Travis): Shari Weemhoff (Lee, Chris); 15 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Jeanette Schultze. Elaine also leaves behind several lifelong friends who have maintained a close friendship through elementary school, college and the decades since. Visitation will be held at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St., SE) on Friday, July 20, 2012, from 3-5 pm & 6-8 pm. A service celebrating the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ for Elaine will be held Saturday 11:00 am, July 21, 2012 at Zaagman Memorial Chapel with son-in-law, Dr. Nelson Kloosterman officiating. Any gift in memory of Elaine may be designated for Calvin College or to Compassion International (www.compassion.com).
