Obituaries

Leroy Roger Patterson, age 87, of Grand Rapids, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2012. He leaves behind his sister, Joan (Richard) Carroll; nephews, David and Paul Carroll; and his friend Mitch McLeod. Roger was a lover of Pugs and a children’s storyteller. He was also a teacher and a retiree of the Grand Rapids Public Libraries. He was a good friend and brother. Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 am at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel, 2800 Burton St. SE. Rev. John J. Steigenga officiating. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Contributions in Roger’s memory may be made to Wedgewood Christian Youth and Family Services or to Bethany Christian Services.
